Parmigiani Fleurier is traditionally very conservative with regards to the materials it utilizes on its watch cases. The brand ordinarily sticks to platinum, gold or steel to make its watches. However, recently, the brand presented its Kalpagraphe in a matte titanium version , offering a smooth monochromatic look. This chronograph watch is currently introduced in a dark ADLC-steel restricted edition, the Parmigiani Fleurier Kalpagraphe Noir. This new version is dispatched along with the Kalpagraphe Blanc, a pink gold female model with an unobtrusive white sapphire dial.
This dim iteration of Parmigiani Fleurier’s tonneau-formed chronograph, the Kalpagraphe Noir, stands apart with its dark case combined with pink gold for the crown, the pushers and a few components of the dial. Its dark reflexive completion reveals new insight into the modern case plan. With its liberal dimensions (44.45mm x 39.2mm) and its unmistakable elongated tonneau shape stretched out by tear-drop hauls, the Kalpagraphe truly says something on the wrist. Because of its ergonomic plan, with a bended caseback, it stays comfortable regardless of its size.
The inconspicuously toned sapphire dial is smoked. It is almost dark with changing reflections and it offers a halfway perspective on the development. The elongated hour markers, the hands, the chronograph sub-counters, the cartouche bearing the brand name and the hands come in pink gold to give decipherable contrast. The huge angled date gap at 12 o’clock shows odd numbers only.
Turning the watch over, the caseback is gotten by four screws and a round sapphire precious stone uncovers the programmed development (note: the inscriptions on the model we had for survey are incomplete and not correct). The type PF334 is 30mm in distance across. Ticking at 28,800 vibrations each hour, it can save to 50 hours of force hold on two arrangement coupled barrels. It is pleasantly enhanced with Geneva stripes, perlage and spans calculated by hand. The 22k gold rotor includes a grains d’orge guilloché design and a PF logo in an oval crest.
The watch is worn on a flexible dark elastic tie shut by a pink gold pin clasp. The Parmigiani Fleurier Kalpagraphe Noir is a restricted edition of 99 watches and retails for CHF 19,000.
